USTA South Carolina is a state branch of the United States Tennis Association. We are one of nine states in the USTA's Southern Section. USTA SC is a non-profit organization run by a board of directors and various committees.
Our mission is to promote and develop the growth of tennis in South Carolina. We measure our success not only by the number of USTA members that we serve in S.C., but also by the number of people who participate in tennis. This includes the various ways people get involved in tennis, ranging from beginners playing together at a local park to longtime players competing in structured leagues at private clubs.
We support local community tennis groups and affiliated organizations in the following ways: helping start new tennis programs and expanding existing ones for all ages and abilities; offering suggestions and training; and providing grant money to worthy groups and individuals.
Our main strategy is to work with volunteers and tennis professionals in each community to provide a complete pathway of tennis programs for all ages and all ability levels. To view our strategic directions, click here.
If we can assist you in any way, including getting started playing, finding a team, developing your tennis leadership skills in a local program, volunteering or helping you find tennis lessons for your child or friend, please call us at (800) 644-7282, or send us an email here.
USTA South Carolina Diversity and Inclusion Statement
USTA South Carolina welcomes all people who play, watch, support or enjoy the game of tennis into our events, programs, membership and leadership and will not discriminate against any person on the basis of age, sex, race, ethnicity, creed, sexual orientation, color, physical condition or national origin.  Moreover, we believe that the growth of tennis hinges on effective outreach to groups that have not traditionally been heavily involved in the sport and we will actively solicit and support the participation of such groups.
