USTA SC Annual Meeting
Presented by the City of Aiken
Dear USTA South Carolina Guest,
The USTA SC Annual Meeting will be held December 7-10 at Wild Dunes Resort on Isle of Palms. There we will continue our work to further the Association’s mission, celebrate our accomplishments, and plan for the future. I hope you will be able to join us for an exciting and enjoyable weekend.
Here are some highlights of this year’s Annual Meeting:
Popular events like the Welcoming Reception and the tennis round robin are once again on the schedule for Friday.
We will hold a Tournament Directors Workshop on Friday morning. We have done this the past three years and many attendees asked us to include it in this year’s schedule.
Committee meetings will take place on Saturday and Sunday, and all of them will be completed by 12:30 on Sunday. This will allow most of our committee members to arrive Friday evening or Saturday morning, and leave early Sunday afternoon.
The Awards Presentation will be held at a Saturday luncheon and the Hall of Fame Ceremony will take place during a Saturday evening banquet. At the Ceremony the South Carolina Tennis Patrons Foundation will induct the two newest members of the South Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame, Jim Hinson and Jorge Andrew.
The Sunday morning Business Meeting will include a "Town Hall Meeting" like the one we experimented with last year, complete with microphones circulating in the audience for those of you who want to ask questions or make comments. As we did last year, we will have people from all levels of USTA there to respond.
Please make you room reservation with Wild Dunes by November 19 by either calling 800-845-8880 or visiting the special website below. You will be asked to provide a credit card number to guarantee your reservation and cover any incidentals charged during your stay. Cancellations require a 7 day minimum advance notice, and if you fail to cancel in time, we will expect you to cover any resulting charges.
