USTA Junior Team Tennis gives junior tennis players the opportunity to develop their basic tennis skills in an energetic, exciting and fun-filled team-spirited atmosphere. The program lasts for six to eight weeks and consists of weekly team practices and match play. Junior players are grouped based on age as well as ability level.

USTA Jr. Team Tennis participants are given the opportunity to advance through local league play to their State Championship. The top teams from each state then move on to the Southern Sectional Championship and then possibly the National Championships, where all 17 USTA Sections are represented!

Beginners through seasoned junior tournament players.

Recreation Leaders… Tennis Club Professionals… Intramural Directors… Local Tennis Leaders…USTA Tennis NJTL Chapter Leaders… Parents… Teachers.

What Are the Key Elements?
It’s easily organized…Only four teams are needed to start a league. Local parks, schools, clubs or towns can sponsor one or several teams.

It’s fun… To join with friends on a team, practice together, and play matches.

It’s exciting… Each game and point won may count for the team score and is important in league standings. Every match played is of equal importance in both singles and doubles.
