Program and Organization Grants

NEW: School Grants

Slammin' Schools | Sizzlin' Six | High School Tournament Equipment

CTA Engagement Grant: This grant will provide funds for new and innovative ideas to keep first year members engaged beyond their initial year. Maybe you have a new idea you want to try out, but don’t quite know where you will get your funds. This is your chance! We are looking for something more than just a typical end of the year social. We want something that will make these new members feel connected to their teammates, their CTA and the USTA, while turning them into recurring annual USTA participants and members. Applicants must be CTAs and may request up to $1000 to bring their idea to life. Contact Abby Galbreath (galbreath@sctennis.com) with questions. Applications must be submitted via this online form by May 15, 2015.

League Tune-Up Tournament Reimbursements: Looking to grow league tennis in your area? Hosting a one-day “league tune-up” tournament is a great way to get local players excited for their upcoming season. These fun, one-day pre-season tournament socials are a great way to promote your facility and/or local community tennis association as well as encourage league participation. USTA South Carolina will provide a limited number of financial reimbursements in 2015 for these events. For more information including reimbursements guidelines and requirements, click here. If you’re interested in hosting one of these events, please submit this form. Please note we have a limited number of reimbursements to give, and they will be given on a first come, first-served basis.

Tennis on Campus: The purpose of this grant is to provide funding for new or expanding club teams and recreational leagues held on a college campus. The funds are intended to be primarily used for advertising or marketing expenses that will be incurred when promoting the program. Grant awards will typically be a maximum of $10 per participant for new programs or a maximum of $10 per additional participant for expanding programs. This is an open ended application while funds last. Contact Graham Cox with questions or to submit an application. Both State and Section funds are available using this one application. Click here to complete the application.

Youth Program Grant: The South Carolina Tennis Patrons Foundation offers grants to facilitate programs that increase access to tennis for children, including (but not limited to) children who are "at Risk" in South Carolina. Organizations may apply for one-time grants of $1,000 to $4,000 for programs that will be conducted in 2015. Applicants who receive these grants are eligible for a second year award of up to 50% of the first year grant providing they plan to continue the program, submit an acceptable Accountability Form for the first year's grant, and provide an acceptable budget for the second year’s grant. Applications must be received no later than 5:00 PM on March 15, 2015. Click here to complete the application.

Kids’ Tennis Club Grant: The Kids’ Tennis Club Grant is a 50/50 share, in which the school determines the total amount of equipment needed and makes plans to purchase half, while asking the Southern School Tennis Subcommittee to purchase the other half.  To determine amounts and cost of equipment, please contact banks@sctennis.com for an updated discount equipment price sheet.   To learn more about Kids’ Tennis Clubs, click here.  Only elementary and middle schools that are USTA Organizational Members are eligible for this grant. Click here to download the grant application.

Community Growth & Participation Grant – The Community Growth & Participation Grants were created to increase participation in USTA programs and strengthen the bond between local tennis organizations and the USTA (at both the State and Section levels). This is an annual, renewable grant that allows eligible CTAs to re-apply each year. Awarded grants are to be used for the growth of tennis programs, with an emphasis on the promotion and operation of USTA programs. The 2015 Community Growth & Participation Grant deadline has passed.

USTA Program Grants:  There are 5 specific program grants available.  Please note there are two grant cycles with the deadline of January 30 and May 29.  A CTA or sponsoring organization may apply for 1 or more program grant. Please be sure to satisfy each of the bulleted items under the "Program Description" header on the application for each grant you are seeking.  A program grant may be awarded up to $1000 on a one-time basis. Historically most approved applicants are funded at less than this maximum $1000 award.
