COLUMBIA, S.C. – USTA South Carolina supported dozens of community programs across the state last year by helping contribute to the $133,000 the various organizations and individuals received. USTA South Carolina, the state office of the U.S. Tennis Association, had a hand in 82 grants and scholarships that were awarded in South Carolina.

The Lexington Area Tennis Association was one of 82 organizations and individuals that received a grant partly from USTA South Carolina in 2014. “We’re extremely proud to be able to help so many groups working to combat childhood obesity and promote lifelong fitness through the game of tennis,” said Graham Cox, executive director of USTA South Carolina. “We’re also thankful to all of the organizations’ volunteers and staff for their continued great work, and we look forward to more successes in 2015.”
