South Carolina Players Triumph at ROHO/PTR Wheelchair Tennis Finals

October 9, 2006 03:48 PM

South Carolina made a great showing at the 2006 PTR/ROHO $17,500 Wheelchair Tennis Championships. Three players, with two as a doubles team, won their divisions. The tournament is an ITF Series I event, and is part of the NEC's International Wheelchair Tour. In the 'A Doubles' division, Bob Masella of Columbia, and Dave Rogers of Chester soundly defeated their opponents, triumphing 6-3, 6-4. In the 'C Singles' division Rory Archer of Rock Hill took his opponent to task defeating him 6-3, 6-3. Wheelchair tennis players are a rapidly growing segment of the USTA membership and we are proud to have such powerful players who call South Carolina home.
