October 18, 2006 01:33 PM

The University of South Carolina men's tennis team hosted the USC Fall Invitational Oct. 13-15, in Columbia. More than 180 players representing 33 schools participated in the event. The Invitational featured six singles flights and three doubles flights and matches were played at four locations in Columbia - the Gamecock men's team's Sam Daniels Tennis Facility, the Maxcy-Gregg Tennis Center, the Columbia Tennis Center and the USC Indoor Courts.

The teams came from across the Southeast, from colleges both large and small. From Arkansas, to Armstrong Atlantic, to Charleston Southern, to Limestone College, to Wake Forrest, teams from many states, divisions and athletic conferences were represented.

In match play, South Carolina's Yevgeny Supeko and Pedro Campos captured the Flight A-1 doubles title Sunday afternoon in the USC Fall Invitational. The tandem picked up two wins over ACC foes today en route to the championship. The winning duo is pictured below along with many other players from the event.
