May 3, 2007 12:46 PM

The Super Senior National League Championship was held in Charleston and Daytona, Florida with a thrilling day of finals held on April 29. South Carolina had three teams that played in the championship, including two who made it to the finals. CJ Wilcox' 3.0 team, the Sun City Slammers, and Scott Bernsten's 3.5 team, the PD Palmetto Guys, both advanced to the finals in their division. Both teams lost in incredibly close matches with the PD Palmetto Guys going to a third set tiebreak in all three finals matches and the Sun City Slammers forcing one match tiebreak. Captain Janet Palmer's 3.5 team also made the championships, but was in a tough group and didn't make it to the semi-finals. Congratulations to all three teams for making the USTA Super Senior National League Championship, now the pressure's on to repeat next year.
