The City of Columbia showed off its newest tennis facility with a Block Party on May 12. Over 100 people attended and enjoyed lots of tennis related activities. Mike Capriati, the facilitie's pro, and Domino Boulware, a visiting pro, directed numerous events. Attendees enjoyed a free tennis clinic, games, won prizes, played beat the pro, and leaned the basics of the game in tennis 101. For the kids there were also mini-tennis courts set up to show the new "kids team tennis" format with smaller courts and modified equipment to help the younger children play the game. Prizes were awarded all around and everyone had a fantastic time. The weather was great, with sunny skies and warm temperatures the day was perfect for tennis.
