USTA South Carolina announces that the fifth annual Tennis on Campus state championship will be held October 3rd & 4th at the Charleston Tennis Center. The College of Charleston is the defending 2008 state champion. Teams will advance to the 2010 section championship held in the early spring which then advances to the National Championship in the late spring of 2010. The 2008 state championship had 10 teams competing from around our state.

The USTA’s Tennis on Campus program provides college students with opportunities for team camaraderie, social networking, and rivaled competition through tennis without the rigors of a varsity program. It’s perfect for athletes who have chosen not to make the jump from high school to college varsity. Tennis on Campus offers co-ed team-based play, local, state, section and national championship competition, and helps students maintain active and healthy lifestyles through their college years.
