SC Players Conquer the Bullfrog USTA Southern Section Designated

Perennial SC junior standouts Spencer Brown and Brent Lett conquered the Boys 12s and Boys 14s divisions, respectively, at the Bullfrog USTA Southern Section Designated (for the 12s and 14s age divisions) which was held at the Van der Meer Tennis Center on Hilton Head Island. In the main draw, Adam Elliget took second place in the Boys 14s division, and Jeffery Dayton took third place in the Boys 12s. In the consolation draws Thomas Williams and Alex Steryous both made it to the quarterfinals of the Boys 12s, Ashby Bland Valerie Droop were quarterfinalists in the Girls 12s, Alexander Miller made it to the quarterfinals of the Boys 14s, Jack O'Koniewski and Jordan Dingle made it to the semis of the Boys 14s, and Ellie Halbauer was a consolation finalist in the Girls 14s.

In Greenville, SC junior phenom Hayley Carter took the Girls 16s title. En route, Hayley beat Morgan Chumney, and Tolley Rice in the semifinals. Ansley Speaks made it to the quarterfinals of the Girls 16s. In the Girls 18s Alex Martin made it to the quarterfinals of the main draw, and Meghan Blevins made it to the quarters of the consolation draw.

The boys didn't fair quite as well in Greenville, but Chip Cox made it to the quarterfinals of the Boys 18s main draw and Ben Barnette made it to the quarters of the consolation draw.
