Ed Bernier named to USTA University Adjunct Program

Ed Bernier, Public Tennis, Inc. Vice President and Program Director, has been named to the USTA University Adjunct Faculty Program, which is an outreach program designed to provide grassroots training and development opportunities throughout the country.

Bernier participated in a July 29-August 2 training session in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and been certified as an a USTA Adjunct Faculty Member and invited to teach USTA University curricula, including “Starting a Community Tennis Association”, “Moving Forward in Community Development” and USTA’s new “Diversity Curriculum” at USTA National, Regional, Section/District workshops, conferences and independent seminars across the country.

Bernier has been active in promoting USTA tennis programs on Hilton Head Island and the surrounding area, and has served as President of the Tennis Association of Hilton Head Island and on the USTA South Carolina Board of Directors as Southern Area director.  He is currently statewide Chairman of the USTA South Carolina Community Development Committee, as well as Vice-Chair of the Southern Tennis Association’s Junior Recreational Committee.
