The US Open tennis tournament has just wrapped up in Flushing Meadows NY. In the men’s finals Roger Federer continued his dominance of men’s tennis, beating a dogged Andy Roddick before a very Roddick-friendly crowd. In the women’s final, Maria Sharapova towered over Justine Henin-Hardenne both literally and figuratively (Sharapova is 7 inches taller). USTA SC, of course, had someone on hand to cover the action. While our duties here in South Carolina prevented us from covering all the matches, you can go to USTA.com to get shots from all the matches and the behind the scenes news. Below are some of the pictures that USTA SC staff took while in NY for the US Open and for the USTA’s Annual Meetings.
