This is my first year serving on the USTA South Carolina Board.   Also, my first year serving on the Adult Competition Council for USTA - SC.  I was employed by USTA Tennessee prior to my involvement with South Carolina as Tennessee’s State League Coordinator for 14 years and a Local League Coordinator in Knoxville, Tennessee before that.  I’ve been involved with USTA Leagues for over twenty years.

I also volunteer with USTA Southern where I serve as a member of the USTA Southern Adult League Committee, Chair the USTA Southern Sectional Championship Committee and Chair the NTRP Medical Appeals Committee.  I’m involved with each of the four Southern Sectional USTA League Championships as part of my responsibilities.  Also received an invitation by the National Administer to work at the 2000 (5.0), 2001 (5.0), 2002 (4.0 Sr.) & 2005 (4.0 Sr.) USTA League National Championships.
One of my many highlights from tennis is when I advanced to a USTA League National Championship on a 4.5 Adult women’s team in 1988 (we came in third, losing to the team that won).  My available time to play tennis has suffered since then but I still enjoy the sport (of a life time) and the many friends I’ve made.
I am a native of (Southern) California and it was only natural to move strait across the States and stay in the “Southern” region.

My husband Byron & I live in Spartanburg, SC and are members of The Westside Club.  We both took up tennis in Southern California while living in San Clemente and have loved it every since.  Tennis is a great introduction tool we used in new areas we’ve moved to over the years.
