The championships will bring the best Jr. Team Tennis players from all over the country to our beautiful area."

"USTA Jr. Team Tennis is pleased to bring the 2012 National Championships to South Carolina at the "New" Cayce Tennis and Fitness Center and the Lexington County Tennis Complex," said Marikate Murren, USTA Jr. Team Tennis National Manager. "These facilities will offer our participants, coaches and spectators incredible venues to experience the very best of USTA Jr. Team Tennis."

USTA Jr. Team Tennis is a tennis league for ages 6-18. It was established in 1991 to provide youth with all of the health and social benefits of tennis in a co-ed, fun and competitive team environment. USTA Jr. Team Tennis allows participants to compete with and against individuals of similar skill and age levels. Players participate in a league format administered by the USTA and its 17 Sections.

USTA Jr. Team Tennis had more than 85,000 participants representing all 17 USTA Sections in 2011. Teams are divided by age and play levels falling into one of several age groups: U12, U14, U16 and U18. Play levels are divided among beginner, intermediate and advanced, all of which are offered at the local level. Each year, the USTA crowns a national champion in two age divisions (U14 and U18) in both the Intermediate and Advanced divisions. The National Championships serve as the crown jewel of USTA Jr. Team Tennis, as the nation’s top teams compete for the title.
