Remember These Tennis Specialty Stores This Weekend

November 25, 2014 09:58 AM
SBS-2015

Dick’s Sporting Goods will open at 5 p.m. Thanksgiving Day for Black Friday. TennisWarehouse.com will have a blur of sales for Cyber Monday.

But if you’re shopping on Small Business Saturday, which American Express coined in 2010, remember to peruse the below South Carolina tennis stores and your local pro shops. The tennis specific stores and pro shops often have competitive prices and sometimes will even match the price tags you see online or at national retailers.

Tour Tennis

The tennis specialty store has two locations in the Charleston area, one in Mount Pleasant and another in West Ashley. By shopping here, you can support a fellow South Carolina tennis player, Mike Palmer.

Learn more about the store, including its business hours, here.

Todd and Moore

Midlands tennis players probably have shopped at this Columbia icon. Co-owners Chuck Todd and George "G" Moore celebrated the business' 70th year in August.

“(My father and grandfather) taught me that business is based on friendships and good service,” Moore told The State. “Here, they’re an authority, they know what they’re talking about. They’re not just pulling something off the shelf – they know from experience.”

Go to the store today at 620 Huger Street or click here to view their tennis products.
