Combo Doubles Teams: Grande Dunes Ladies

The “Grande Dunes Ladies” are bringing a whole lot of spirit to the 2017 Combo Doubles League State Championships this weekend! The 65 & Over Combo Doubles 7.5 rated team has played USTA league tennis for many years, but this is the first year they’ll be together for the 7.5 Combo division.

Representing the Grand Strand Tennis League, the 11-member team will compete for bragging rights on Hilton Head Island this weekend.

For team captain Barbara Glass, “It’s all about a team effort to win. You find out what you are made of. Sometimes you cannot make a mistake, while other times you cannot do anything right. Times like this is when you go back to basics to win.”

“Our team is unique because we are fun loving ladies who want to have fun and win,” Barbara continued. “We all love tennis, but we do have another life. Life is good at the beach!”
