The USTA SC Adult Mixed Doubles League Championships will be held in Florence, SC on September 14-16 at the Dr. Eddie Floyd Florence Tennis Center. The tournament is open to both the 18 and over, and 40 and over categories.

This marks the first year that teams have competed with a 40 and over age division, which was put in place to give players more opportunities to participate. Nearly 100 teams will be competing in the tournament as a result.

The tournament will kick-off on Friday night with a player party from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology (SiMT). Here, captains will check in and get critical information at the captain’s meeting. Play starts bright and early Saturday morning as teams will be divided into groups of four within their NTRP skill division.

Champions from each division will advance to the USTA Southern Mixed Doubles Sectional Championships, which will be held in Mobile, AL for the NTRP 2.5 and 6.0-10.0 divisions.

The tennis center has 24 hard courts, six clay courts and a large pavilion to watch all the matches, making this the perfect place to host the Championships. Other sites that will be used include Timrod Park Tennis Courts, West Florence High School and Florence Country Club.

To find information on specific teams, or to view the full draws, you can visit the USTA SC Adult Mixed Doubles League Championships page on www.sctennis.com.

USTA Leagues are the largest recreational tennis program in the world.  Players compete on teams divided by age and skill level, with new age divisions for players aged 40 and over and players aged 55 and over debuting in 2013.
