South Carolina Clubs Battled at TOC Fall Invite

Three South Carolina collegiate clubs had home-court advantage of sorts this weekend at the Tennis on Campus Fall Invitational, held at the Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center in Hilton Head Island.

But, alas, the University of Florida captured the championship, defeating the University of Virginia in the final.

The University of South Carolina, College of Charleston and Furman University had solid showings, though.

And the teams will have a chance at state glory early next month. On Nov. 9-10, the USTA South Carolina will host its ninth annual Tennis on Campus Championship at the Charleston Tennis Center.

The Hilton Head Island Packet also wrote a story on the national invite.
