ABOUT US PLAYERS PROS RULES & RESOURCES

Tennis Professionals
As either a professional or volunteer endeavor, we encourage all tennis pros to work with those wishing to learn wheelchair tennis. Listed below are several different avenues to become more involved in wheelchair tennis:

1. Wheelchair Tennis Clinics
We are always looking for pros who would be interested in running a 6-week (minimum) clinic for beginning wheelchair athletes. The pro may set the fees for the clinic, and the USTA would loan the pro up to four sport wheelchairs and a dozen Prince racquets.  Upon the completion of the six week clinic, the pro can be eligible to receive a small stipend from USTA SC as a token of appreciation for his/her work for wheelchair tennis.

If you are interested in holding a wheelchair clinic, please complete the form here.

2. Certification Opportunities
While not a requirement to work with wheelchair players, you can learn specific strategies through opportunities provided by PTR and USPTA.

3. Wheelchair Tennis Specialist Degree
For the “Wheelchair Tennis Specialist Degree” through USPTA, click here.
